My goal is to create an easy to use gadget with all needed information on one view.
This gadget look like this when you use all available modules.
Known problems:
* Important: There are many problems with collecting battery remaining time on some notebooks of the manufacturers Sony, HP, Lenovo and some others.
This results in blank gadget/settings or gadget stops working at all while on battery. Sometimes it helps to activate the option “Don’t ask Windows to calculate remaining battery time …” in settings page while running the notebook on AC.
* If you set the gadget to calculate the remaining battery runtime by itself, be aware that it takes a time to calculate remaining time, because it use the time runs by between two percent of usage. This means, it doesn’t update as fast as the Windows battery monitor would.
* Can’t collect WiFi signal strength in dbM if wlan-driver isn’t able to provide WMI
* If an additional network interface is plugged to the system (e.g. a mobile phone) you have possibly to reselect the interfaces on settings page
