Vote-AfrFV - Voting software for schools, colleges, local, regional and national elections
Vote-Africa is a LAN based suite consisting of four independant modules:
a) Voting-Setup. Imports data from mExcel spreadsheets to generate a database of voters and of voting wards. Sets a limit on the time between a voter being authorized to vote and casting a vote, can be anything from minutes to unrestricted. Setup is also used to re-open voting stations that have already closed, and to generate the results of elections which can be exported to a spreadsheet for further manipulation.
b) Voting-Admin. Used to generate voters' rolls according to age, gender, grade and/or voting ward, and then to define lists of candidates for up to 20 elections. Also used to specify whether or not paper ballots will be allowed in an election and, if so, if there is a limit to the number of paper ballots cast or not. Voting is opened and closed from this module.
c) Voting-Autho. Used at voting locales to validate voters prior to being allowed to vote. Authorization is to vote using an electronic vote or, alternatively, a paper ballot. Vote-Africa can guard against ballot box stuffing and practically against all other conceivable forms of fraud.
d) Voting-Voter. This is the voting booth where the voter will cast a vote. Vote-Africa will allow a voter to cast only the number of votes setup in the election, e.g. vote for more than one candidate, but prevent voting for the same candidate again. A voter must commence voting within the alotted time from authorization and must cast all his or her allowed votes in one session at one voting booth. When the vote is closed, no further voting is possible.
