blackout provides a screen frame or up to four panes to cover part of the screen
blackout silences your screen
The program provides two modes: "screen frame" and "single panes".
After start you see a black frame around the screen. The edges can be
resized seperately leaving a visible window whereever you like.
Helpful when you want to highlight part of the screen e.g. a movie
in a small window.
The second mode provides up to four separate panes to cover whatever
distracts you from your focus.
Initially you see a small stripe on the right side of the screen.
You can drag it anywhere and resize it as you wish.
The frame and the single panes try to stay on top of the screen.
Click on the program symbol in the taskbar should they disappear.
With a right click (left for lefthanders - pressing long on touchscreens)
you get a popup menu when the mouse is over one of the covers.
Here you can switch between the two modes, select the background color,
check, if you want hints to be shown, and end the program.
The "ESC" key resets the frame or the covers.
Pressing "ESC" a second time stops the program as well.
Notice:
When the orientation of a tablet changes the program needs a reset.
