Kylix SMS .NET Component - Kylix SMS.NET supports sending and receiving SMS, Wap, vCard, vCanlendar.
Kylix SMS.NET Component supports sending and receiving Unicode SMS, WAP Push, Smart SMS, vCard and vCalendar with full Unicode support very well.
This component not only provides you some special features only in KylixSMS .NET Component, such as get own number of SIM card, a built-in SMS sent counter, auto link multi-parts SMS into single long message or split long message into multiple single SMS which contains user defined prefix serial number at the begin or end of message text.
This component also has a built-in SMS sending queue and supports multi-threads, with these functions you can send SMS in simple block mode or thread safe background sending mode. Searching devices are also special feature of KylixSMS, this function can get device information like manufacturer, model, IMEI and own number without making a connection, make it easier to identify your devices. When you use a 3G HSPA device they usually gives you four serial ports but only one port works with SMS functions, this component will detect the working one for you, you don't have to try all serial ports one by one.
It allso supports several protocols such as AT Command and Nokia FBus. With Nokia protocol, there are more than 20+ models of Nokia S40 and Sony-Ericsson low cost mobile phones in market, you can get one very easily. This component covers full range of features based on SMS, WAP Push, vCard, vCalendar, USSD and Voice call application. Full function C# and VB.NET projects are included in setup file, they can show you every function in detail. And most importantly, it's very easy to use, which make itself the best choice for developing any type of SMS software and mobile phone based applications.

- If you are using more than one USB GSM/GPRS modem you can only find several cable names like 'Prolific USB-to-Serial Bridge'. It's hard to identify them because they have same names. With 'SearchDevices' method of Kylix SMS .NET Library the same cable names will be displayed as device manufacturer and models like 'SIEMENS MC35i' or 'Wavecom GPRS modem'. If you are using a 3G HSDPA stick as your SMS device you will find 3 to 4 COM ports, but only one port works correctly. You have to try them all one by one. By using 'SearchDevices' method there is only one correct port name and device name will show up. These pictures show how useful of this feature
- There is a build-in SMS counter in Kylix SMS .NET Libray. It shows how many messages have been sent since last reset time. You can reset the send number and reset time. These two data are saved on SIM card. This would be useful if you want to control the sending speed or count. '101 messages have been sent since 10/01 by SIM card 25081251.'
- Some devices support getting own number, you can get it very easily. But most devices don't support ON memory, it means that you can't get the phone number of SIM card. It will be a mass if you have 10 SIM cards. You may write the phone number on those SIM cards, but how can you read it, if the SIM card is inserted in your device. With 'GetOwnNumber' method of Kylix SMS .NET Library you can easily get the number by calling one simple method
