free software to show NFO and DIZ files
NFO files usually contain ASCII or extended ASCII text about release information of a software program. NFO file designers frequently incorporated extended ASCII characters from the then near-ubiquitous code page 437 character set which is poorly supported by Windows programs now. If you open a NFO file in common text editing program like Windows Notepad, EditPlus or UltraEdit-32, you'll see mussy characters. To display NFO file correctly you need dedicated NFO viewers such as DAMN NFO Viewer. DAMN NFO Viewer is an old program which has been abandoned by it's developer for years. However it does its work very well.
DAMN NFO Viewer shows NFO and DIZ files perfectly. You can choose up to six built-in fonts to display text. You can also set colors for background, text and hyperlinks.
