Keep your important files safe and secure with the real-time backup feature. XR Backup, is a very simple, easy to use and powerful backup, archiving and versioning system. The program is designed to keep your file changes safe, and to allow you access your backups with the easiest and fastest way possible.
XR Backup is different from any other backup software; its main feature is that it will take copies of your files automatically whenever they are changed, and it keeps a full history of versions of each file. It is also flexible as to when and how to perform the backup, you can set the program to perform real-time or continuouse data protection or you can select periodic backups up to 5 min period, or it can be hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.. or you can select to place a shortcut on your desktop so that you'll let the program to detect your changes only on demand.
This program allows you to browse and manage the history of your files, you can select to view and/or restore an individual version of a file, or you can select to fully restore your files to how they were at any point in time.
With XR Backup, you can select your backup destination to be on a Local Disk Drive, a network shared folder on another computer, a Network Attached Storage (NAS ), a USB Hard Disk or even a Flash Drive.

- Real-time Folder Monitoring: XR Backup works silently in the background to monitor and detect your changes, and will take a copy of your changes according to the rules that you define
- Encryption: You can select to encrypt your files in the backup store. This means that your files are kept to the maximum safety. Only you can access those files, the password will not be stored in the backup store either which means that its not possible for anyone to find out what your password is
- Timed Schedule: The program can work on a schedule at any time you want, at the middle of the night, midday, during your lunch break, after you leave work, weekends. etc
- Flexible file filtering: easily set rules to ignore files and/or folders that you don't want to synchronize, based on virtually any file attribute you can think of
- Alternative Restore Location: you can select a restore location that is different from the original location, you can do that to make sure you're not losing any files and to protect yourself from making mistakes while trying to recover a disaster
- Compression: Keep disk usage to a its minimum, XR Backup allows you to compress the backup store with the best reliable compression algorithms
- Skipped-files-free backup (with manual backup) : XR Backup uses Volume Shadow Copy technology to ensure that no files are skipped during the backup process even if locked by the system or another application
- Individual File Restore: The software allows you to browse through your entire backup store and allows you to view and/or restore any specific file individually without forcing you to restore everything
- Full Restore: XR Backup lets you restore all your files to any point in time. You can select the date and time in the past, and a full restore of your files will occur replacing all corrupted or missing files with a clean copy right from the backup store
- Informative Logs and email notifications: A detailed logging of all operations can be generated at each backup operation. You can setup the program to send you an email notification of the backup process with error reports if any. This will let you know if your unattended or nightly backups were taken care of
