The routines in MsiXray were developed by an Application Packager to assist him debug conflicts and other problems when installing large number of applications( both commercial and in house) on individual PCs. Hence unlike many of these Tools MsiXray has not been developed in a Lab it has been extensively used by the developer in its intended environment, so the User Interface has already been optimized to highlight any significant information and many of the bugs which result from imperfect data (believe me there are many MSIs out there (some by major software houses) which bear little resemblance to Microsoft's MSI specification) have been ironed out with 100s of MSIs read into MsiXray during the last few years. MsiXray' market is probably the same market as all the Registry Cleaners, Virus Checkers, PC Tuners, DLL Version Checkers, BUT as MsiXray currently has no direct competitors it should hopefully sell a large number of copies.
