- Class and other Com tables can be displayed as registry keys and the registry details for individual DLLs etc listed and compared with the PC
- EVENT and MSIEXEC installation logs can be displayed in an easy to read format
- MsiXray only requires the installation of 5 Standard MS OCXs, so it is ideally suited to being installed on a PC to compare the environment defined in individual MSIs, with what is actually installed, detecting the conflicts between Applications causing the differences
- Hence MsiXray can detect if the installation of an Application using a Vendor's Non MSI Installation Script has conflicted with the MSI installations on a PC
- MsiXray can encapsulate SysInternal's FileMon and RegMon to provide a comprehensive but simple to use monitoring system, which can identify the files and registry entries referenced in individual runs and compare the logs of two runs, identify the differences, which caused one to work, while the other failed
- Bookmarks are available to permit the monitoring of Applications and MSI installations and identify the Files and Registry entries used (in part of an Application/or individual Custom Actions in a MSI)
- MsiXray provides an enhanced MSI editor optimised to edit existing MSIs, generate MSTs, manipulate the CAB Files, and resolve ICE33 errors
